RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP OF THE BELGIAN SOCIETY OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE

1. Eligibility: Physicians younger than 35 years, specialist in nuclear medicine or following an official traineeship in a Belgian University.

2. Amount: 25.000 Euros

3. Aim: Promoting the research in the field of nuclear medicine, including preclinical, clinical, or health technology assessment studies. Priority will be given to projects that will be completed in a foreign center with an internationally recognized expertise.

4. Deadline for application: March 1, 2010

5. Date of attribution: May 15, 2010

6. Scientific committee: S. Goldman, R. Hustinx, C. Van de Wiele, F. Jamar, T. Lahoutte and F. Verbruggen. One or two international experts might be consulted.

7. Ruling Body: The Board of the Society will vote the attribution of the fellowship, after receiving the recommendations of the Scientific Committee. If the scientific quality of the submissions is deemed insufficient, the fellowship will not be attributed.

8. Application forms and Fellowship rules: Nine copies of the completed forms must be sent the General Secretary of the BSNM, along with a full CV and 2 letters of recommendations, one from the supervisor of the applicant in Belgium and the other from an independent, qualified source from the applicant's institution. A support letter from the host supervisor is also required. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
