The Department:
The Nuclear Medicine Department at CHMouscron has two SPECT-CT cameras, Siemens T6 and T16 (currently being renewed and expanded), a radiopharmaceutical preparation laboratory (currently being improved), two rooms for metabolic therapies, and is developing in vectorized internal radiotherapy. The department is composed of 2 nuclear medicine physicians, 6 nurses, and 3 secretaries.
Role:
Within the team, you will ensure comprehensive patient care during their scintigraphy exam from both a human and technical perspective. You will:
- Conduct a relevant patient anamnesis related to the exam request before performing the scintigraphy; write up reports using the provided formats.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical products (laboratory compliance improvements ongoing).
- Perform scintigraphy exams and process images.
- Assist in the technological development of the department (new procedures and equipment installation).
- Manage daily quality controls.
- Implement post-therapeutic imaging protocols.
- Assist the nuclear medicine physician in performing specific procedures (exams and/or treatments).
- Know and apply radiation protection rules (for patients and their environment, handling radioactive products, contamination, waste disposal, etc.).
- Manage stock and equipment orders.
- Collaborate and communicate within a multidisciplinary team.
Profile:
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree/medical imaging technologist diploma or equivalent, with a valid license or authorization to practice (or in the process of regularization).
- Experience in a similar position is a plus.
